Russian military facility attacked in Kursk
A military facility important to Russian troops was attacked in Kursk. Before that, Russians complained about a massive drone attack, according to Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation.
“An important military facility was attacked in Kursk,” Kovalenko wrote.
Ukraine's military command has not yet commented on the attack.
The video posted by the head of the Center for Political Analysis was published on Russian Telegram channels back on January 5. At that time, the Russians whined about a massive drone attack.
Situation in Kursk region and strikes on Russian territory
In early August 2024, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched an offensive in the Kursk region. As of the fall, according to Western media reports, Ukrainian soldiers had lost more than 40% of the region's territories under their control. However, it has recently become known that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have launched an attack on Russian troops in several directions.
Also, since the beginning of 2024, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have been regularly striking military targets and oil refineries in Russia. This is necessary to weaken the military infrastructure of the terrorist country and reduce its ability to supply fuel for military needs. For example, the Druzhba oil pipeline in the Bryansk region was recently attacked.
