Russian Investigative Committee: 93 dead in Moscow suburb terror attack
The Russian Investigative Committee asserts that the number of victims in the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall near Moscow has risen to 93 people, according to the Russian state publication TASS.
According to the Investigative Committee, three children are among the deceased.
The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation in the Moscow region stated that over 100 people were injured in the terrorist attack.
It is worth noting that Russians accused citizens of Tajikistan of committing the terrorist acts at the Crocus City Hall shopping center in the Moscow region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan notes that they have not received official information from Moscow.
At the same time, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) claims that the terrorists allegedly had contacts in Ukraine and were planning to flee abroad.
About the terrorist attack
On the evening of Friday, March 22, in the city of Krasnogorsk in the Moscow region, several armed men in camouflage opened fire at the Crocus City Hall shopping center. Initially, it was reported that there were 40 fatalities and 100 injured.
Some media outlets claimed that the terrorist attack was organized by the ISIS group. However, other sources refute this information.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine called the terrorist attack a planned and deliberate provocation by Russian special services at the direction of dictator Vladimir Putin.
