Russian forces unleash 205 drones on Ukraine overnight as air defenses fight back

Russia launched 205 attack drones at Ukraine during the night of October 5, the Ukrainian Air Force reports.
The enemy used Shahed drones, including 49 jet-powered ones, as well as Gerbera and Banderol/Dan-T drones. It also launched Parody-type decoy drones.
The drones approached from the Russian regions of Orel, Kursk, Shatalovo, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
They were also launched from temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., 172 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones had been shot down or suppressed.
Hits were recorded at 13 locations. Debris from downed drones fell at three other locations.
About 10 enemy drones remain in Ukrainian airspace, and the attack is ongoing.
As previously reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army lost 2,020 troops over the past day.
The Defense Forces also destroyed nearly 1,900 drones and hundreds of pieces of automotive equipment.
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, on the evening of October 4, Russian forces struck apartment buildings in Kharkiv with two Banderol drones.
According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, one person was killed and six others were injured.
About 10 apartment buildings were damaged.
