At night, the enemy again attacked the Odesa region with drones. Despite the successful work of air defense, debris from the downed drones damaged private houses and caused fires, which rescuers promptly extinguished, according to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, and the State Emergency Service (SES).

“The enemy once again attacked the civilian population and infrastructure of the Odesa region. Air defense forces destroyed most of the enemy targets, but debris from the drones damaged private homes,” Kiper noted.

According to him, a garage and the roofs of two residential houses were destroyed in the region. Fires broke out but were quickly extinguished by rescuers.

“Fortunately, there were no reports of casualties,” he added.

Rescuers confirmed that private houses and a garage were damaged and added that a gas pipeline was also hit during the Russian attack.

Russian strikes on Odesa and the region

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian forces have regularly shelled Odesa and the region, using various types of missiles and attack drones.

In particular, on October 29, during a night attack, the Russian forces damaged an energy facility belonging to DTEK, injuring one worker.

About 30,000 households were left without electricity at that time.

On October 11, the enemy also attacked Odesa and the region with strike drones. As a result, energy facilities, residential buildings, a hotel, and apartment blocks were damaged, and one person was injured.

Earlier, Russian drones struck Odesa and its outskirts, causing destruction to residential buildings and the Sports Palace. Fires broke out in a nine-story building, in warehouses, and in several cars, and the Sports Palace suffered serious damage.
