On February 26, Russian forces attacked Kostiantynivka with aerial bombs, killing five people, according to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk region.

"At least five people were killed and eight injured as a result of strikes on Kostiantynivka," he said.

According to the regional military administration, Russian forces dropped at least three guided aerial bombs on the city and its outskirts.

Filashkin added that Russian attacks on civilians in Kostiantynivka have become more frequent and severe in recent times.

11 injured in Kostiantynivka

Later, the National Police reported that Russia dropped at least six FAB-250 aerial bombs on the city and nearby areas.

"Among the dead are a 47-year-old woman and four men aged 56, 57, and 75. The age of one victim is still being identified. Rescue operations are ongoing," law enforcement stated.

Additionally, five women and six men, aged between 33 and 83, were injured.

A total of 52 civilian structures were damaged, including more than 20 residential buildings.

Attacks on Kostiantynivka

On the night of February 26, Russian forces once again attacked Kostiantynivka, targeting residential areas of the city. This time, no casualties were reported.

Additionally, on February 21, Russian forces dropped four aerial bombs on Kostiantynivka. There were casualties, injuries, and one person remains trapped under the rubble.
