Attack on Izium

The city of Izium was heavily damaged during Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Specifically, in 2022, the settlement was occupied by the Russian army, but in the fall of that same year, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated Izium from the Russian invaders. Since then, Russian forces have continuously attacked this frontline city.

For example, on March 24, Izium in the Kharkiv region was subjected to massive airstrikes, with kamikaze drones being used.

As a result of the attack by Russian forces, a fire broke out in the city. More details about the shelling can be found in the RBC-Ukraine material.

We also reported that Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie expressed her support for 14-year-old Polina from Izium, who sustained serious injuries in the wake of a Russian attack.
