Chernihiv region
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, almost the entire region has been occupied by the aggressor country's forces. Despite this, Chernihiv, Nizhyn, Pryluky, and a few other cities maintained their defense and were not occupied but were subjected to Russian shelling.
On April 3rd of the previous year, a significant part of the region, including Chernihiv, was liberated from the occupiers, and by April 6th, the invaders had left the region.
