"Recently, the Russians have been particularly active in striking Kostiantynivka. Staying there, as well as in the rest of the region, is dangerous," the regional governor reported.
It is worth noting that the Russian army carried out massive airstrikes on Kostiantynivka on February 19. The enemy used six FAB-250 bombs with UMPK (gliding and correction module). In the city, four apartment buildings, 34 private houses, power lines, a gas pipeline, and vehicles were damaged.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believes that in 2025, the Russian military command sees pressure on Kostiantynivka — the southernmost point of the so-called fortified belt in the Donetsk region — as a priority objective.
