Russian forces intensify assaults near Huliaipole, pushing to seize villages and cut key supply route

Russian troops have increased assault attacks near Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy is trying to capture settlements and cut an important logistics route, according to the spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn.
According to the spokesperson, around Huliaipole, “the situation is very dangerous. The Russians are constantly increasing the number of assault actions.”
He noted that the enemy has become more active within a 10-kilometer zone around Huliaipole and is trying to advance toward the settlement of Zatyshshia, which is closer to the front line.
“Over the past day, there were also combat clashes there. The enemy is not only trying to approach Huliaipole, but also to cut the logistics route that goes from the Dnipropetrovsk region to Huliaipole, from north to south near the settlement of Varvarivka,” Voloshyn said.
According to him, the situation in the Varvarivka area remains difficult. The enemy is trying to break through to the settlement, but fighting is still underway in the nearby forest belts.
Situation in the Huliaipole direction
Earlier, analysts from DeepState reported that Russian forces had captured the villages of Rivnopillia and Yablukove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In addition, the enemy advanced near the settlements of Solodke and Novouspenivske in the Polohy district.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that during the offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian troops managed to capture three settlements. Heavy fighting is still ongoing for two more villages.
There was also information that Russian forces had cut one of the key logistical routes leading to Huliaipole. Now, the Russian Federation is increasing its efforts to advance toward Huliaipole, trying to encircle the city from the east and north.
On November 21, the Defense Forces denied information about the encirclement of Ukrainian units in the Huliaipole direction. They stated that this does not correspond to reality.
According to the command, the situation is tense, but communication with the fighters remains, and logistics is established.
In today’s morning summary, the General Staff reported that in the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 enemy attacks toward Dobropillia and Huliaipole, near the settlements of Vesele, Zatyshshia, Zelenyi Hai, and Vysoke.
