Russian forces attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones overnight
Russian Forces attacked Ukrainian territory with Shahed-type kamikaze drones overnight on January 20. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces successfully shot down four of these attack drones, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"During the night, Russian occupiers carried out another aviation strike, using seven Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs," the statement from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reads.
It is reported that Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed four enemy attack drones during the night using available resources and means of air defense.
Nighttime attack on January 20
Late in the evening on January 19, Russian Forces launched several groups of Shahed-type kamikaze drones into Ukrainian territory. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the drones were launched from the southern direction and were primarily detected in the southern and central regions of the country.
In the Southern Defense Forces, it was reported this morning, on January 20, that two kamikaze drones were shot down in their area of responsibility: one in the Mykolaiv region and one in the Odesa region.
