The Imperial Brands tobacco factory in Kyiv was significantly damaged in a Russian drone attack overnight on September 8, according to an official statement by Imperial Brands.
Aftermath of the attack and condition of employees
The attack damaged the company’s production facilities and infrastructure.
None of the factory employees were injured.
Specialists are currently assessing the extent of the damage and working to deal with the aftermath of the strike.
The company remains in constant contact with law enforcement and emergency services.
Russian strikes on the capital and attacks on civilian infrastructure have caused serious damage to retail facilities and logistics networks.
One of the Russian attacks completely destroyed a VARUS supermarket in Kyiv. A huge crater formed at the site of the strike, while the building sustained critical damage.
In addition, regular Russian strikes on Ukrainian food warehouses have caused food shortages in Kyiv. Logistics centers and warehouses belonging to major retailers, including Novus, ATB, Silpo and Fora, have sustained significant damage.
