Russian drones attack Kyiv: Debris falls in several districts, people injured

At 3:07 p.m., the Kyiv City Military Administration reported an air raid alert in the capital due to the threat of UAVs and urged residents to go to the nearest shelters.

A few minutes later, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said air defenses were operating against enemy drones over the city.

The first consequences of the attack were reported in the Solomianskyi district. Initially, the Kyiv City Military Administration said debris had fallen in an open area. According to Klitschko, a drone also hit the grounds of a garage cooperative.

Later, authorities reported that UAV debris had fallen into the courtyard of a residential building. At another location, debris fell onto the roof of a residential building.

Another drone fell into a body of water. Emergency services were dispatched to the scenes.

People injured in Sviatoshynskyi district

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, cars and a garage caught fire as a result of the enemy attack. While reports regarding casualties were initially being clarified, the Kyiv City Military Administration later confirmed that two individuals had been injured.

They are receiving the necessary medical care.

Also, in another part of the district, debris fell on the grounds of a residential building. Klitschko also reported debris falling near a non-residential building.

Debris falls in Holosiivskyi district

Another debris fall was reported in the Holosiivskyi district. According to the mayor, the debris fell into the courtyard of a residential building.

Emergency services continue to work at the sites where debris fell.

Earlier on September 15, Russian forces attacked gas stations in Kyiv twice in the morning. One drone hit a gas station in the Darnytskyi district, while another struck a gas station in the Holosiivskyi district.

People were injured in the morning attack, and one of them was later reported dead.
