An enemy drone struck the locomotive of a passenger train in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region. Thanks to an early warning, railway workers and passengers were evacuated before the attack, and no one was injured, according to Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways).
Details of the attack
According to the company, a monitoring team detected the potential threat in time and passed the information to the train crew.
This allowed for the prompt evacuation of passengers from the train cars before the strike occurred.
The attack damaged the train's locomotive.

Russia's attacks on passenger trains
Russian forces are conducting targeted and regular attacks on Ukraine's railway network.
In recent months, Russia has increasingly used drones to attack civilian passenger trains, aiming to disrupt logistics and intimidate the civilian population.
On July 19, a Russian drone struck a passenger train in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region, injuring a train attendant.
The attack followed a similar incident a day earlier, on July 18, when Russian drones targeted a locomotive and a passenger train in the same region.
Despite the continued attacks, Ukrainian railway workers remain on duty around the clock, rerouting trains and evacuating passengers when necessary to guarantee passenger rail service throughout the country.
