Russian drone strike on Zhytomyr apartment building leaves one dead

A Russian drone struck apartment buildings in the Zhytomyr district, resulting in one fatality and several injuries, according to the head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Bunechko.
According to preliminary data, the drone hit a high-rise building. At least 5 buildings were damaged.
“Unfortunately, one person was killed. Currently, five people are known to be injured, including a child born in 2011. The injured are in hospitals of the region,” Bunechko stated.
Rescue teams and an operational investigative group are working at the site. A warming and assistance center has been set up in the community.
Shahed attack
This afternoon, the Russian army launched Shahed attack drones into Ukraine. This tactic is somewhat surprising, as the Russians usually launch drones later in the evening, making it more difficult for air defense.
Because of the attack drones, air raid alerts were declared in several regions. Air defense systems were heard operating in Kyiv against incoming UAVs.
Also today, Dnipro was attacked with a ballistic missile. Casualties and at least one fatality have already been confirmed.
