The Russian army struck a bus in Marhanets this morning, leaving over 50 people injured, according to Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

"Starting today, Marhanets is observing three days of mourning. For the people whose lives were taken by the Russians - nine innocent victims. Let us remember them," Lysak wrote.

According to him, 54 people were injured in Marhanets. Thirty-one patients remain hospitalized, while others are receiving outpatient treatment.

Attack on Marhanets

On the morning of April 23, the Russian army used a drone to strike a bus carrying workers from a local enterprise in the city of Marhanets.

Initially, reports indicated 7 dead and 6 injured, but the death toll later rose to 9.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the bus strike "an absolutely deliberate crime."

According to him, such Russian attacks on civilians using FPV drones are, unfortunately, not uncommon.

"Civilians suffer the most from such terror in Kherson and the region, in Kupiansk, in Pokrovsk, in communities of the Dnipropetrovsk region: Nikopol and Marhanets. Such strikes happen almost daily. The Russians even boast about them, posting videos of the hits on civilians online," he said.
