Russians continue targeting passenger trains and railway infrastructure

Recall that on the morning of March 4, Russian occupiers attacked Mykolaiv with strike drones. One drone hit near a passenger train car, causing a fire.

It was also reported that on March 2, in the Kryvyi Rih district of Dnipropetrovsk region, a Russian drone struck a suburban train car while it was in motion. One person was killed and ten passengers were injured.

In addition, at the end of January, Russian Shahed drones attacked a passenger train on the Barvinkove–Lviv–Chop route. The train was carrying 291 passengers, all of whom were quickly evacuated; two people were injured.

Earlier, on January 11, a drone strike injured the train driver and his assistant.

It is known that a Shahed strike drone exploded near the locomotive. Monitoring personnel warned of the threat in advance. The locomotive crew managed to safely secure the train, but could not evacuate in time.
