Russian drone attack on Kharkiv region: Casualties reported
Overnight on March 18, Russia launched a missile strike on the fire station of a border town in the Kharkiv region, resulting in casualties, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
As a result of the strike, the fire station building suffered damage (windows, doors, gates were knocked out, the roof and facade were damaged). Four fire and rescue vehicles were also damaged.
"There were 11 firefighters on duty at the fire station, one of whom was injured in the hand (a driver-rescuer of the local fire and rescue unit). Medical assistance was provided to him on the spot," the State Emergency Service reported.
As a result of the Russian attack on Sumy on March 17, civilian infrastructure objects of the city were damaged, with no civilian casualties reported. The administration said that the situation on the border is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Furthermore, on March 17, Russian occupiers shelled Konotop in the Sumy region, with local residents hearing several explosions. The Sumy Regional Military Administration emphasized that Russian terrorists continue to commit crimes against the peaceful population of the region.
