Today, Russian forces once again attacked civilians in central Kherson with a drone. As a result, there is one confirmed killed and additional injuries. Residents are being urged to stay away from the city center, informs the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

"At approximately 6:30 PM (Kyiv time -ed.), a Russian drone once again targeted people in central Kherson. Preliminary reports indicate that one person was killed, and two others were injured," Prokudin wrote.

He also urged residents of Kherson to avoid visiting Freedom Square and the area around the central department store in the coming days, as there has been an increase in drone activity from Russian forces.

"Our defense forces are working — most of the drones are being shot down. Unfortunately, not all of them are. This remains very dangerous. Please, take care of yourselves," he emphasized.

Russian attacks on the Kherson region

Several weeks ago, Prokudin reported that Russian forces had significantly intensified their attacks on settlements in the Kherson region.

Furthermore, the enemy has changed their tactics. They first drop aerial bombs and then follow up with artillery strikes on the same areas.
