Russian Defense Ministry reports air defense action in 6 regions after drone attack
In six regions of the Russian Federation, air defense forces and systems were active during the night of June 30. These regions were reportedly defending against drones attacking certain targets, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense's Telegram channel.
In the morning report from the defense department of the aggressor country, it is claimed that a total of 36 drones were destroyed overnight by air defense operations.
As usual, the Russian ministry did not comment on the consequences of the air attack, stating only that it was "thwarted." They also asserted that Ukraine was behind this "raid" by fixed-wing drones.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, most of the drones were detected in the Kursk region, with fewer in the Belgorod and Oryol regions. The reported breakdown of drones shot down is as follows:
- 15 drones in the Kursk region
- 9 drones in the Lipetsk region
- 4 drones in the Voronezh region
- 4 drones in the Bryansk region
- 2 drones in the Oryol region
- 2 drones in the Belgorod region
