The Ukrainian military successfully attacked the Russian boat Ivanovets with MAGURA V5 naval drones, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine chief, Kyrylo Budanov.

According to him, the maritime drones were operated by the drone unit of the 13th Group of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

"During special (active) measures between January 31 and February 1, the unit planned and carried out the destruction of the Ivanovets at the raid on Lake Donuzlav," he says.

According to Budanov, during the destruction of the Russian boat, six direct hits were made by naval drones into the ship's hull.

"As a result of the damage, the ship capsized and sank. According to preliminary data, the search and rescue operation conducted by the enemy was unsuccessful," the DIU chief says.

MAGURA V5

The Maritime Autonomous Guard Unmanned Robotic Apparatus (MAGURA) V-type is a new generation of multi-purpose unmanned surface ships developed in Ukraine.

It can perform various operations, including surveillance, reconnaissance, patrolling, search and rescue, mine countermeasures, maritime security, and combat missions.

The drone is 5.5 meters long and 1.5 meters wide. Its cruising speed is 22 knots, and the maximum speed is 42 knots. The range of the marine drone is approximately 833 km.

It is also equipped with a mesh radio with an airborne repeater or satellite communication.

Strike on Russian Ivanovets boat

Defense Intelligence of Ukraine destroyed the Ivanovets missile boat of the Russian Black Sea Fleet on the night of February 1. The cost of the ship is 60-70 million dollars.

According to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine representative, Andrii Yusov, there were only three such boats in Russia.
