Russian attacks disrupt Ukraine's supply lines in Kharkiv region

In the Kharkiv region, logistical support for the Ukrainian army in the Kupiansk area has become significantly more difficult. This is due to systematic Russian strikes on river crossings, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Russia's systematic air and missile strikes on crossings across the Oskil River have significantly complicated the logistical support of Ukrainian Defense Forces units in the Kupiansk area," the statement reads.
According to the Ukrainian General Staff’s post, logistics for Ukrainian troops are currently being provided using watercraft and heavy drones.
The command is also taking measures to strengthen air defense and anti-drone protection in this sector. Additionally, the electronic warfare system is being reinforced.
"In these difficult conditions, special attention is being paid to supporting our servicemen carrying out missions on the front lines," the statement notes.
Ukraine's General Staff adds that the command of the 14th Mechanized Brigade concealed the true state of affairs, resulting in the loss of several positions and a series of miscalculations in the provision of supplies to the troops.
In addition, a problem was identified with food supplies to one of the brigade’s positions (on April 23, media reports indicated that the brigade’s troops had been without food and water for 17 days).
In light of the above circumstances, the commander of the 14th Mechanized Brigade was relieved of his duties, and the commander of the 10th Army Corps was demoted. An investigation is currently underway.
"The new brigade and corps command is taking all possible measures to normalize the situation and ensure the supply of troops at combat positions," Ukraine's General Staff emphasizes.
Fighting in Kupiansk direction
Ukrainian soldiers are holding back Russian attacks in the Kupiansk sector. However, they have encountered a serious obstacle, an elite Russian deliberately deployed to this section of the front.
This refers to the Rubicon drone unit. Their mission is to cut off supplies to the front lines for Ukrainian troops. Specifically, the drones attack transport vehicles every 3–5 minutes.
