Russian attacks aftermath: Three regions hit, power plant shelled
On the night of December 6, the Russian occupiers launched another massive attack on the territory of Ukraine, using almost fifty kamikaze drones. Most of the targets were shot down, but there were consequences, including for critical infrastructure.

Attack on a thermal power plant
Russia has once again attacked one of DTEK's frontline thermal power plants.
"The shelling left residents of one of the settlements near the plant without heating," the company says.
According to DTEK, the shelling damaged the company's equipment.
"After the shelling stopped, the power engineers began to eliminate its consequences," the press service adds.
Attack on Kharkiv region
A drone attack in the Kharkiv region damaged critical infrastructure and destroyed a building.
"At 23:25 and 3:00 in the village of Lyptsi, a residential building was destroyed as a result of a drone attack, and critical information infrastructure was damaged," said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
In addition, at night, on December 5, as a result of the fall of the wreckage of one of the downed drones in Ochakiv, a fire broke out in a warehouse building on the territory of a recreation center. It has already been extinguished.
In the Bashtanka district, in Snihurivka, a service station building, and a tire service station building caught fire due to the fall of UAV wreckage, which was promptly extinguished.
"A private house was also damaged. There were no casualties," said Vitalii Kim, head of the Regional Military Administration.
After 20:00, the Air Force warned of the movement of Shaheds in the Black Sea towards Odesa. Almost immediately, similar activity was recorded in the direction of Mykolaiv region from the Kherson region. In addition, there were warnings of a drone threat in Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions. Air defense systems were operating in several regions at once. In particular, an explosion was reported in the Khmelnytskyi region.
As the Air Force later said, the occupiers attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones from two directions - Cape Chauda (Crimea) and Kursk region (Russia). The invaders launched a total of 48 kamikaze drones.
"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, destroyed 41 enemy attack UAVs," the military said in the morning.
Air defense operating
In particular, according to the heads of the Regional Military Administrations, 4 drones were destroyed in the Kamianske, Dniprovskyi, and Pavlohrad districts of Dnipro region, one in Zhytomyr, one in Cherkasy and one in Kirovohrad regions.
"We destroyed an enemy's Shaheds in the Zolotonosha district. People were not injured. There are only minor damages to several buildings," wrote Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, about the effects of air defense in the region.
