Russian attacks aftermath: Five regions hit, damage and injuries reported
From the evening of December 4 until the morning of December 5, Russian troops continued to launch kamikaze drones in waves in different directions across Ukraine and also used missiles to strike. Most of the targets were shot down, but there were consequences - an infrastructure facility near Lviv was attacked, and one person was wounded.

Attack on an infrastructure facility near Lviv
During an air raid alert, at around 4:00 a.m. on December 5, the enemy attacked an infrastructure facility in the Lviv region with three drones.
"The strike caused a fire, which was quickly extinguished by our employees. There is some minor damage. There were no casualties or injuries," says Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
Strike on Borova and Chuhuiv in Kharkiv region
Although most of the Russian kamikaze drones were shot down, in the Kharkiv region, an enemy Shahed struck the village of Borova in the Izium district and Chuhuiv.
"At 21:30 in Chuhuiv, three houses were damaged as a result of two UAVs hitting them, windows were smashed and roofs were damaged. A 41-year-old civilian man sustained an explosive injury without being hospitalized," says Oleh Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
As for Borova, a cultural center, a shop, and private houses were damaged by kamikaze drone strikes. But, according to the head of the Regional Military Administration, there were no casualties.
Shooting down the Shaheds by Air defense forces
After 20:00, the Air Force reported a threat of Russian attack UAVs in the Kharkiv region. An hour later, the military clarified that a group of enemy "Shaheds" had been spotted near Chuhuiv. In addition, there were reports of a group of drones flying towards the Mykolaiv region, in particular, Ochakiv, and towards Vinnytsia and Kirovohrad regions. In particular, an explosion was reported in the Vinnytsia region during an air raid alert.
Air defense worked on the Shaheds in several regions, shooting down 10 of the 17 Russian drones. The occupiers launched them from two directions - Kursk region and Primorsko-Akhtarsk of the Russian Federation.
"As a result of combat operations, 10 attack UAVs were destroyed in different regions of Ukraine," the Air Force later clarified.
In particular, according to the Southern Ukrainian Defense Forces, during a nighttime drone attack in the area of responsibility of the Southern Ukrainian Defense Forces, air defense destroyed 4 Shahed-131/136 UAVs: 2 in Mykolaiv region and one each in Kherson and Vinnytsia regions.
Not only drones but also missiles
Around 10:00 p.m., the drone threat was compounded by a missile threat. It was warned about in Dnipropetrovs'k, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Kirovohrad regions.
As the Ukrainian Air Force later noted, in addition to drones, the invaders used six S-300 anti-aircraft-guided missiles. In particular, according to Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, at 01:07 a.m. on December 5, a private house was damaged as a result of enemy shelling of Ochakiv. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
In addition, according to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, the occupants launched an air strike on the village of Pivnichne in the Donetsk region. Five apartment buildings were damaged. The State Emergency Service rescued 1 person.
"The town of Selydove also came under enemy fire. A five-story building of an educational institution, 2 private enterprises, and an apartment building were destroyed. Fortunately, no one was injured," he adds.
At 23:20, the occupants launched rocket attacks on the city of Kherson. A cinema building came under fire, and rescuers localized the fire.
