On the evening of March 31, Russians shelled a frontline community in the Zaporizhzhia region. The number of casualties has now increased, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

"The number of wounded from the Russian strike on the frontline community has risen to five. A 47-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man sought medical assistance. One person was killed," the report states.

Fedorov clarified that Russians once again targeted civilian infrastructure.

Zaporizhzhia region shelling updates

At around 17:51, an air raid alert was declared in the Zaporizhzhia region due to the threat of guided aerial bombs.

Less than an hour later, reports confirmed that Russian forces had launched five strikes with KAB bombs on a community in the region. Fedorov later shared photos, stating that the attack targeted civilian sites, destroying and damaging residential buildings as well as social infrastructure.

As of 21:10, five people had been reported injured, and one person was killed.
