Russian forces attacked the Kyiv region on August 18. In the Brovary district, office, industrial, and warehouse buildings were damaged, and fires broke out at the sites, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS).
According to rescuers, four fires broke out following the attack. They have already been extinguished, but work at the strike sites is ongoing.
Specialists are currently dismantling damaged structures and dousing them with water to prevent reignition. State Emergency Service units and other emergency services are involved in the cleanup efforts.
The rescuers' work is complicated by air raid alerts. When an alert is issued, they have to move to a safe distance and resume work at the sites once the all-clear is given.
According to preliminary data, no one was killed or injured in the attack. No State Emergency Service personnel were killed or injured either.
The State Emergency Service released photos and video from the Brovary district showing damaged facilities and rescuers working at the sites following the Russian attack.
