Russians hit a hotel in Kryvyi Rih with ballistic missiles in the evening of March 5. Volunteers, including foreigners, were hit, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy noted that the rescue operation in Kryvyi Rih at the site of the Russian missile strike had been going on all night. Russians hit the hotel with ballistic missiles.

“Just before the attack, volunteers from a humanitarian organization – citizens of Ukraine, the United States, and the United Kingdom – had checked into the hotel. They survived because they managed to get down from their rooms in time. Unfortunately, four people were killed in this attack. My condolences to their families and loved ones,” the President said.

Over 30 people were wounded in the Russian attack. Zelenskyy added that the Russian strike damaged many civilian objects around the hotel. Rescuers and relevant services are still working at the scene.

“I thank everyone who is on duty these days and nights, working and serving to save lives. My gratitude goes out to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the National Police, medical workers, emergency responders, and all those whose work helps save lives. There must be no pause in the pressure on Russia to stop this war and terror against life,” he emphasized.

On the evening of March 5, explosions were heard in Kryvyi Rih. Before that, the Ukrainian Air Force reported a threat of Russian ballistic missile attacks.

Russians launched a missile attack on a hotel in Kryvyi Rih. Initially, 2 people were reported killed.

As of this morning, over 30 people were injured in the Russian attack. The death toll has risen to 4. According to local authorities, a 43-year-old man in severe condition died in hospital. Doctors fought for his life all night.

Tomorrow, March 7, a day of mourning will be declared in Kryvyi Rih.
