Russian forces struck Kherson this afternoon, October 14, injuring a one-and-a-half-month-old baby girl, according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

As Prokudin reported, around 1 p.m., the Russian army attacked Kherson's Dniprovskyi district.

"A Russian shell hit a house where a one-and-a-half-month-old girl was staying. She suffered blast trauma and an acute stress reaction," Prokudin said, adding that the baby is now in the hospital receiving all necessary medical care.

Russia keeps killing children

Since the start of its full-scale invasion, Russian forces have repeatedly killed children in their strikes across Ukraine.

On July 8, 2024, the Russian army attacked the Okhmatdyt children's hospital, partially destroying the facility.

As Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted on Saturday, October 12, Russian troops have launched over 3,100 drones, 92 missiles, and about 1,360 guided bombs against Ukraine in the past week alone.

In one of the Russian strikes in Kostiantynivka, a child was killed inside a church.
