Russian APC-82A destroyed in Pokrovsk direction - National Guard of Ukraine
Ukrainian fighters targeted a Russian APC-82A that was rushing to storm the positions of our troops in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU), Oleksandr Pivnenko.
The video showcases the work of the 15th Operational Brigade of the NGU Kara-Dag.
The NGU adds that National Guard troops destroyed nearly 20 enemy vehicles in the Pokrovsk direction over the past week.
"The enemy mostly used infantry groups without armored vehicles, sending their assault troops to be destroyed. However, some assaults were reinforced with armored vehicles, or the enemy personnel attempted to move in cars," Pivnenko writes.
APC-82A
The APC-82A is an armored personnel carrier, which is an improved version of the BTR-80. Its main features include enhanced armor and new weapon systems. It is equipped with a 30mm 2A72 automatic grenade launcher and a paired 7.62mm PKT machine gun, providing greater firepower compared to previous models.
The APC-82A also has a modernized fire control system and advanced communication tools, improving its tactical capabilities. Overall, it is designed for use in mechanized units and can operate both in urban environments and off-road.
Russia’s losses in war
In the past day, September 2, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian military eliminated another 1,360 Russian terrorists. Additionally, a dozen tanks, 35 armored combat vehicles, and more were destroyed.
