Russian airstrike on Zaporizhzhia leaves 25 injured, including children and baby

On Thursday afternoon, July 23, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs. By the evening, the number of people injured in the strike had risen to more than two dozen, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Emergency responders said the attack damaged a medical center and parked cars at one location, and a five-story residential building at another.

At first, 18 people were reported injured, but that figure rose to 25 by evening.
"The number of people injured in the Russian airstrike on Zaporizhzhia has risen to 25, including six children, among them a three-month-old baby. State Emergency Service psychologists provided assistance to 20 people, including five children," the statement said.
The State Emergency Service added that emergency and cleanup operations following the Russian attack have now been completed.
Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia
Russian forces have been attacking Zaporizhzhia daily and almost around the clock. They have been using drones and guided aerial bombs in their attacks.
For example, on July 19, Russia struck the city with guided aerial bombs, destroying two floors of a five-story residential building and leaving several people injured.
On July 21, Russian forces again hit a residential neighborhood with guided bombs. The attack sparked major fires across the area and left several civilians injured.
