Russia will be defeated if it attacks NATO - Polish Foreign Minister
Russian attack on NATO will result in Moscow's defeat, but the Alliance must bolster its defense, according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radosław Sikorski.
The minister outlined the new direction of the government under Prime Minister Donald Tusk, explaining to the global audience and those at home how the new priorities have shifted.
According to him, Poland wants to return to the group of countries that shape the EU agenda.
Ahead of Sikorski's speech, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that he aims to emphasize how Poland's priorities have changed after the national-conservative party Law and Justice took over from the Tusk government, regarding the rule of law and international relations.
The department said that the speech will underscore the importance of this moment in history and highlight how Poland's foreign policy has changed following the change of government.
NATO prepares for possible escalations
Last year, Bild published information based on secret NATO documents about the alliance preparing for a possible Russian invasion. As part of this preparation, various scenarios of confrontation with Russia were developed.
Later, NATO's Military Committee Chairman, Admiral Rob Bauer, said that the alliance needs transformation, and the West must prepare for an era in which anything can happen at any time, including the outbreak of war.
Meanwhile, Finnish President Alexander Stubb believes that the best way to avoid war is to talk less and prepare more.
