In 2025, the Kremlin plans to expand the capacity of the seaport in Mariupol. Thus, the Russians want to increase the possibility of plundering the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the National Resistance Center of Ukraine informs.

According to the information resource, by the end of this year, Russians are to build 25 more hydraulic structures, including additional berths for cargo ships and warehouses.

The expansion of the Mariupol port is driven by Russia's appetite for further exports of products from the occupied Ukrainian territories, primarily agricultural products. In addition, Russia aims to finally send industrial equipment from the occupied territories to Russia and sell it to other countries “favorable” to it.

“Meanwhile, the so-called Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport of the Russian occupation administration announced plans to increase the capacity of the port of Mariupol to 4.8 million tons of grain,” the Center added.

A few months ago, in October, the news outlet reported that Russians had begun building a large agricultural market in Mariupol. However, in reality, it will be a center for the export of stolen Ukrainian property.
