Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia is using mistakes in Ukraine’s mobilization process to fuel panic inside the country, even employing artificial intelligence.

“There are certainly many challenges with the territorial recruitment centers, but there is also a lot of disinformation, a lot of AI. Russia has done this deliberately to portray as much as possible that Ukraine is forcibly rounding everyone up, which is not entirely true,” Zelenskyy said.

According to the head of state, it is important to understand that the enemy uses any mistake or difficult situation to stir up panic within the country.

“The Ministry of Defense has been tasked with clarifying this issue (mobilization – ed.), finding a more technological approach. We will see how the minister handles it. We will support them in any way,” the president added.

Mobilization reform in Ukraine

Earlier, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov reported on the scale of mobilization problems, noting that about two million Ukrainian citizens liable for military service are currently wanted.

At the same time, Servant of the People party lawmaker Fedir Venislavskyi said that Ukraine is preparing changes to its mobilization approach and gradual adjustments to existing procedures.

According to Venislavskyi, one of the key directions of the upcoming changes will be increasing the number of service members serving under contract, which should make military service more predictable for citizens.

Fedorov also said the Defense Ministry is currently working on a comprehensive mobilization reform that will offer citizens a systemic solution to long-standing issues while preserving the country’s defense capability.
