Russia's attack on Kyiv region on the evening of May 2 was unusual. Russian forces used Parodiya decoy drones to distract Ukrainian air defenses, according to Ukrainian Defense Ministry adviser Serhii Beskrestnov (Flash).
"Yesterday's drone attack on Kyiv region differed from the usual pattern. Residents in several districts noticed the unusual appearance of the drones," Flash said.
According to him, after a break of several months, the enemy once again used Parodiya decoy drones on a large scale.
The purpose of such drones is to distract Ukrainian air defenses, which is why dozens of them were circling over Kyiv region.
