Russia unleashes second strike on Mykolaiv hypermarket in short span

On the evening of September 4, Russian forces launched a renewed drone attack on a hypermarket in Mykolaiv using Shahed-type UAVs, according to Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych via Telegram.
A 17-year-old girl was injured in the strike and has since received necessary medical care.
According to Senkevych, the teenager will be treated as an outpatient. The mayor emphasized that enemy strikes are repeatedly hitting civilian infrastructure -shopping malls, supermarkets, and residential buildings used daily by ordinary citizens.
Local district authorities have already surveyed residential areas near the impact site, recording preliminary damage including shattered windows. City officials will contact affected apartment owners to help board up damaged windows.
According to Suspilne, the September 4 Shahed drone strike specifically hit the Epicentr shopping mall in Mykolaiv.
Russia has repeatedly targeted Epicentr in recent weeks. On August 28, Russian forces struck an Epicentr store in Zaporizhzhia, sparking a major fire and causing injuries; this was not the first attack on this particular retail chain. That same day, businesses across Ukraine came under fire - Nova Poshta (postal) facilities were destroyed in both Sumy and Kyiv regions.
Over just two days, August 27–28, Russia effectively waged targeted terror against Ukrainian businesses. Among those hit were Epicentr (hypermarket), Nova Poshta (post), Roshen (confectionery company), Comfy (electronics retailer), Fora (supermarket), Aurora (store), Kolo (convenience store), as well as bookstores and publishing houses.
