On the night of December 7, Russian troops carried out a massive combined strike on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, using both strike drones and air- and ground-based missiles, according to the Air Force.
From 6 p.m. on December 6 to the morning of December 7, radio-technical units detected and tracked 246 air targets. Among them were 241 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of attack drones launched from Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and occupied Crimea. About 150 of them were Shahed drones.
In addition to drones, the following were launched at Ukraine:

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups, electronic warfare units, and unmanned aerial vehicle systems.
As of 9:00 a.m., Ukraine's air defense forces shot down or suppressed 179 air targets, including:
- 175 strike UAVs;
- 2 Kinzhal missiles;
- 2 Iskander-M / KN-23 missiles.
Despite the effective work of air defense, 65 strike drones hit targets in 14 locations. The assessment of the consequences is ongoing.
