Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline updates on July 11
Ukrainian military forces repelled Russian attacks on the Bakhmut and Maryinka fronts. They continue to hold back enemy advances on the Avdiivka front, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
During the past 24 hours, Russians attacked Ukraine using Iranian-made Shahed drones. A total of 28 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were launched, but the air defense systems destroyed 26 attack UAVs and two reconnaissance UAVs of the Zala type.
Additionally, the Russians carried out 54 airstrikes and conducted 38 artillery shelling on the positions of Ukrainian forces and civilian areas. Unfortunately, apart from the infrastructure damage, civilians have also been affected.
Frontline situation
The occupiers continue to concentrate their main efforts in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Maryinka sectors of the frontline, where heavy fighting is ongoing. There have been 17 clashes in the past 24 hours.
There have been no significant changes in the Volyn and Polissya sectors, and there are no signs of offensive formations.
On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanske sectors, the aggressors maintain their military presence. They carried out an airstrike in the area of Volfyne in Sumy region. Artillery and mortar shelling targeted more than 15 settlemnts.
In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian forces are holding their defense steadfastly.
On the Lyman sector, the Russians conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas near Vesele in Donetsk region. Artillery shelling affected the settlements of Nevske, Bilohorivka, Torske.
On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled attacks in the areas of Hryhorivka and east of Orikhove-Vasylivka. However, more than 10 settlements suffered from Russian artillery shelling.
On the Avdiivka sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the enemy's advance in the areas of Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske. The Russians conducted artillery shelling on more than 10 settlements.
On the Maryinka sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled all attacks in the areas of Pobeda, Novomykhailivka, and Maryinka. The enemy shelled more than 10 settlements.
On the Shakhtarsk sector, the Russians carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Blahodatne.
On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, the occupiers focus their main efforts on preventing the further advancement of Ukrainian forces. The Russians carried out artillery shelling on more than 25 settlements.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operations on the Melitopol and Berdiansk sectors, consolidating their achieved positions and conducting counter-battery actions.
Russian terror
Repressions against Ukrainians are escalating in the occupied part of Kherson region, particularly in the town of Henichesk.
According to available information, it has become much easier to be subjected to forced imprisonment since local collaborators, aiming to please the occupiers, constantly make false accusations against citizens and carry out unjustified checks.
Furthermore, the occupiers threaten the local population, stating that those without Russian passports will be forcibly deported to Siberia, with all their property confiscated.
Russian losses
During the past 24 hours, aviation conducted 14 strikes on enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment deployment areas, as well as three strikes on enemy air defense systems.
Missile troops and artillery units hit three command points, ten artillery positions, one air defense system, and one electronic warfare station of the occupiers.
Military experts, commenting to RBC-Ukraine, have indicated that the situation on the Lyman and Kupiansk sectors is tending to escalate. They noted that the aggressors have concentrated a large number of personnel and equipment there.
