Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 10

During the past 24 hours, on January 9, there were 171 combat engagements on the front. Russian occupiers attacked on almost all directions, with the heaviest fighting on the Pokrovsk front, according to the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, yesterday the enemy carried out two missile and 28 air strikes, launched 36 rockets, and dropped 92 guided bombs. In addition, they conducted 3,322 artillery strikes, including 61 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 6,140 kamikaze drones.
Airstrikes hit areas near the settlements of Malomykhailivka in Dnipropetrovsk region; Dobropillia and Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region; Rizdvyanka, Samiilivka, Nove Pole, Hryhorivske, Yurkivka, and Yuliivka in Zaporizhzhia region.
Over the past day, the Air Force, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck three enemy concentrations of personnel, weapons, and military equipment.
Situation on the fronts
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 135 artillery strikes, including two from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions ten times near the settlements of Prylipka, Starytsia, Vovchansk, and Zelene.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made seven assault attempts near Stepova Novoselivka and toward Bohuslavka and Nova Kruhliakivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 14 times, trying to breach defenses near Novovodyane, Novoiehorivka, Kolodiazi, Drobysheve, and Myrne.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled enemy advances near Platonivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, an enemy attack toward Stupochky was repelled.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy conducted 20 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyno, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Rusynyi Yar, Yablunivka, and toward Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 43 enemy assaults near Razine, Shakhove, Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoseriivka, and toward Novopavlivka and Filiya.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out 20 attacks near Piddubne, Sosnivka, Verbove, Vyshneve, Rybne, Yehorivka, and Krasnohirsk.
In the Huliaipole direction, our defenders stopped 27 enemy attempts to advance near Solodke, Huliaipole, Varvarivka, and Zelene.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attempted an offensive near Stepove but was repelled.
In the Prydniprovskiy direction, the enemy tried once to improve their position near the Antonivskyi bridge but failed.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of enemy offensive groupings were detected.
Russian losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost approximately 1,217,810 military personnel.
Russian losses over the past day amounted to 880 soldiers.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed four tanks, 16 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, 653 drones, 18 missiles, 84 vehicles, and two pieces of special equipment.
