As of 10:00 PM Kyiv time on December 27, there have been 117 combat engagements on the front since the start of the day. The highest number of clashes was again recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

The General Staff reported that Russian forces carried out two missile strikes and nine airstrikes, using 41 missiles and dropping 22 guided bombs. In addition, they deployed 3,188 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,466 artillery and rocket attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.

Frontline situation

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian troops repelled one Russian assault since the start of the day. The enemy also conducted one airstrike using three guided bombs and launched 117 attacks on Ukrainian positions.

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions seven times near Starytsia, Vovchansk, and Prylipka, and in the direction of Lyman and Hryhorivka. One engagement is still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian units conducted three assault actions, attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses toward Petropavlivka and Pishchane.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions 14 times near Serednie, Novoselivka, and in the direction of Druzheliubivka, Oleksandrivka, Lyman, Stavky, and Drobysheve. Ukrainian defenders are currently repelling one ongoing attack.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy attempted to break through five times near Serebrianka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled three attacks in the areas of Vasiukivka, Predtechyne, and in the direction of Bondarne.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces launched 18 attacks on Ukrainian positions, concentrating their efforts near Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, and in the direction of Sofiivka and Stepanivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian units tried 31 times to breach Ukrainian defenses near Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, Filiia, and in the direction of Nove Shakhove, Dorozhnie, Rodynske, and Hryshyne. Two clashes are still ongoing.

"Defense Forces are repelling enemy assaults. The opponent is suffering significant losses. Today, 106 occupiers were neutralized in this direction, including 77 permanently. Our defenders destroyed a multiple rocket launcher, two vehicles, one self-propelled artillery unit, 21 drones, a command post, and also hit an artillery system, two vehicles, one specialized unit, and ten enemy personnel shelters," the General Staff reported.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian units stopped 15 enemy attacks on positions near Yalta, Vyshneve, Oleksandrohrad, Verbove, Pryvilne, Rybne, and in the direction of Andriivka-Klevtsove.

In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Huliaipole, Bilohiria, and toward Dobropillia. Three clashes are still ongoing. The village of Zaliznychne came under an enemy airstrike.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian units stopped one attack near Shcherbakiv.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks near the Antonivskyi Bridge.

Russian army losses in the war

Russian forces continue to lose personnel and equipment daily on the front. From December 26 to 27, the Russian army reportedly lost 1,240 soldiers. Ukrainian forces also destroyed 33 artillery systems, 158 vehicles, and 205 drones during the same period.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russian army losses have exceeded 1.2 million personnel.
