Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 27

As of 4:00 PM Kyiv time on December 27, Russian forces conducted 62 combat engagements along various frontlines. Border settlements in the Sumy region were hit the hardest, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
Today, artillery strikes from Russian territory hit border settlements, with the Russian army specifically targeting Rohizne, Ulanove, and Hirky in the Sumy region.
Frontline situation
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, there were 62 artillery strikes.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions four times near Starytsia, Vovchansk, Prylipka, and toward Hryhorivka. One combat engagement is ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled two attacks toward Petropavlivka and Pishchane.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked near Serednie, Novoselivka, Druzhliubivka, Stavky, and Drobysheve. Two attempts to advance were repelled. Fighting continues in four locations.
In the Sloviansk direction, combat is ongoing near Serebrianka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, two attacks took place near Vasiukivka and Predtechyne.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces launched 12 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, and toward Sofiivka and Stepanivka. Three battles are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 19 attacks near Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, and toward Nove Shakhove, Dorozhnie, Rodynske, and Hryshyne. One battle continues.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked seven times near Yalta, Vyshneve, Pryvilne, Rybne, and toward Andriivka-Klevtsove. Two battles are ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped three enemy advances near Huliaipole and Bilohiria. Three more fights are ongoing.
In the Orikhiv and Prydniprovskyi directions, the Defense Forces repelled one and two attacks, respectively.
In other directions, there were no significant changes.
Russian losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the full-scale invasion began, Russia has suffered approximately 1,203,310 personnel losses. In the past 24 hours, enemy losses amounted to 1,240 personnel.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed five tanks, 19 armored combat vehicles, 33 artillery systems, 205 drones, 158 vehicles, and one heavy flamethrower system.
