Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 25

As of 10:00 PM on Thursday, December 25, a total of 115 combat engagements had taken place along the frontline. The highest number of attacks by Russian forces was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian forces carried out 50 airstrikes, dropping 108 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 4,060 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,792 shelling attacks on settlements and Ukrainian Armed Forces positions.
Frontline updates
In the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk direction, Russian forces carried out one airstrike using a single guided bomb and conducted 68 shelling attacks, including one with multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked near Vovchansk, Dvorichanske, and toward Vilcha. Ukrainian units repelled seven attacks; one engagement is ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, defenders repelled one attack toward Hlushkivka.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled eight attacks near Novoselivka, Stavky, Novoserhiivka, and toward Ozerne and Zarichne; one engagement is still ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, defenders repelled five attempts by Russian forces to advance near Siversk and Serebrianka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled one enemy attack near Novomarkove.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces launched 14 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, Shcherbynivka, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy conducted 26 attacks near Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Leontovychi, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Filiia, Dachne, and toward Novopavlivka, Novoho Shakhovoho, Kucheriv Yar, and Novoekonomichne. One battle is ongoing.
Over the past day in this direction, Ukrainian forces eliminated 48 Russian troops and wounded 24; destroyed one artillery system, 21 drones, three vehicles, three relay antennas, three ammunition depots, and one personnel shelter; and significantly damaged a tank, two artillery systems, and 11 personnel shelters.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, defenders repelled 14 attacks near Pryvilne, Rybne, Krasnohirskе, Zelenyi Hai, Vorone, Yalta, Oleksandrohrad, and toward Iskra, Vyshneve, and Yehorivka. One engagement continues.
In the Huliaipole direction, Russian forces attacked seven times near Uspenivka and Huliaipole and toward Dobropillia. They also carried out airstrikes on Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Ternuvate, and Bilohiria.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions toward Pavlivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, two Russian attacks were unsuccessful. Russian forces conducted an airstrike with guided bombs on Novotiahynka.
As of December 24, Russia’s losses since the start of the full-scale invasion have exceeded 1.2 million personnel. Over the past day, Ukrainian forces eliminated 1,090 Russian troops.
