As of 10:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, a total of 148 combat engagements were recorded along the frontline. The heaviest fighting was reported in the Pokrovsk direction, where the enemy attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 38 times, according to a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Since the start of the day, occupying forces have carried out 26 airstrikes, dropping 66 guided aerial bombs. They have also used 3,472 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,237 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian forces repelled six Russian attacks today, with one engagement still ongoing. The enemy also carried out 80 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including one strike using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces made eight attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near Vovchansk, Prylipky, and toward Izbytske.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russia carried out four offensive actions toward the settlement of Pishchane and in the direction of Petropavlivka and Kupiansk.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched eight assaults on Defense Forces positions toward Drobyshcheve, Stavky, Novyi Myr, Druzhliubivka, Lyman, and near Shandryholove.

In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled six enemy assaults, with Russian troops attempting to advance in Serebrianka, Dronivka, and toward Platonivka; one combat engagement is still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, no combat engagements were reported during the past 24 hours.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces launched 19 assaults on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Kleban-Byk, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Pleshchiivka, Novopavlivka, Ivanopillia, and Sofiivka; one engagement is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 38 times, targeting the areas of Rodynske, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Myrnohrad, Molodetske, Dachne, Filiia, and toward Novopidhorodne, Novo Shakhove, Svitlohe, Hryshyne, and Novopavlivka; three combat engagements are still ongoing.

In this direction today, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 106 enemy personnel, including 66 confirmed killed. They also destroyed six vehicles, two motorcycles, 26 drones, nine pieces of special equipment, one personnel shelter, and three enemy ammunition depots, while damaging six vehicles and eleven enemy shelters.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses ten times in the areas of Pryvilne, Zlahoda, and toward the settlements of Rybne, Oleksandrohrad, and Nove Zaporizhzhia; the occupiers also carried out strikes with guided aerial bombs on Pidhavrylivka.

In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 11 times in the area of Huliaipole and toward Dobropillia, with Russian aviation striking Huliaipole and Vozdvyzhivka.

In the Orikhiv and Prydniprovskyi directions, no combat engagements were reported.

Russian losses in the war

According to the General Staff, since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost approximately 1,194,520 military personnel. Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces suffered 1,220 casualties.
