Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 15

Over the past day, December 14, there were 158 combat clashes along the front line. The enemy attacked on several axes, with the heaviest fighting on the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, yesterday the enemy carried out 66 airstrikes on positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using five missiles and dropping 166 guided aerial bombs. In addition, Russian forces conducted 4,286 shelling attacks, including 133 from multiple launch rocket systems, and deployed 6,447 kamikaze drones.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular, on the areas of Baranivka in the Kharkiv region; Velykomykhailivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Huliaipole, Prydorozhnie, and Novoboikivske in the Zaporizhzhia region; and Odradokamianka in the Kherson region.
Over the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force, missile troops, and artillery struck three concentrations of enemy personnel, five command posts, six artillery systems, and one other key target of Russian forces.
Situation by directions
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, one combat engagement was recorded. The enemy launched three airstrikes, dropped six guided bombs, and carried out 152 shelling attacks, including six using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, 11 combat clashes took place near Synelnykove, Prylipky, Vovchansk, and toward Kolodiazne.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces carried out three attacks. Ukrainian defenders repelled assault actions toward Petropavlivka and Pishchane.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 13 times, attempting to advance near the settlements of Novoiehorivka, Kolodiazi, Novoselivka, Serednie, and Zarichne.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled seven enemy attacks. Russian units attempted to advance near Yampil, Serebrianka, and Pereizne.
In the Kramatorsk direction, one combat clash was recorded near Chasiv Yar.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy launched 24 attacks near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Yablunivka, and toward Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 47 assault and offensive actions by the aggressor near the settlements of Shakhove, Nykonorivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, and toward Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 17 attacks near Oleksandrohrad, Novoselivka, Sosnivka, Verbove, Krasnohirskе, Pryvilne, Zlahoda, and Rybne.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy carried out 13 assault actions, which Ukrainian defenders repelled near Solodke, Huliaipole, and toward Varvarivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy advanced once, toward Prymorske.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to approach Ukrainian positions near the Antonivskyi Bridge.
Russian losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost approximately 1,189,470 troops.
Over the past day alone, Russian losses amounted to 980 personnel.
In addition, Russian forces lost two tanks, 10 armored combat vehicles, 64 artillery systems, three multiple launch rocket systems, two air defense systems, 653 operational-tactical drones, one piece of special equipment, and 207 vehicles.
