Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 7

Over the past day, December 6, there were 161 combat engagements on the front. The largest number of enemy attacks was recorded in Pokrovsk, but Russian forces were also active in other directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, yesterday the enemy carried out two missile and 60 air strikes, launched 57 rockets, and dropped 143 guided bombs. In addition, they conducted 4,291 shellings, including 117 from multiple rocket launchers, and deployed 6,360 kamikaze drones.
Air strikes hit, in particular, areas of the settlements of Malomykhailivka, Danylivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Veselianka in Zaporizhzhia region; and Olhivka in Kherson region.
Over the past day, the Aviation of the Defense Forces struck four areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment.
Situation by direction
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out one air strike, dropped a total of four guided bombs, and conducted 165 shellings, including three from multiple rocket launchers.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, our troops repelled six enemy attacks near Vovchansk, Synelnykove, and towards Izbytske and Kolodiazne.
In the Kupiansk direction, there were nine enemy attacks yesterday. Our defenders repelled assault actions near the settlements of Petropavlivka, Pishchane, and Kolisnykivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 13 times, attempting to break through our defenses near Hrekivka, Serednie, Tverdokhlibove, Zarichne, and towards Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Novoserhiivka, Novyi Myr, and Stavky.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 13 enemy attacks near Yampil, Dronivka, Serebrianka, Siversk, and Fedorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, there was one combat engagement near Minkivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 23 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, and towards Stepanivka, Sofiivka, and Berestok.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 45 enemy assaults towards Nove Shakhove, Novopavlivka, and in the areas of Hryshyne, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and Dachne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out 16 attacks in the areas of Yalta, Ivanivka, Zelenyi Hai, Vorone, Rybne, Oleksandrohrad, Sosnivka, Stepove, Uspenivka, Pavlivka, and towards Danylivka.
In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces repelled 14 Russian attacks near Huliaipole, Solodke, and towards Dobropillia.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy made one attempt to breach our defenses near Stepove.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy did not carry out any offensive actions.
In the Volyn direction and Polissia direction, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
Russian losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost approximately 1,180,870 military personnel.
In particular, Russian forces suffered 1,080 casualties over the past day.
Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed three tanks, 33 artillery systems, two multiple rocket launchers, 540 operational-tactical level drones, 30 missiles, and 98 enemy vehicles.
