Amid increased US pressure on India over trade in Russian energy resources, Moscow has been making statements that could complicate diplomatic contacts at a critical moment. During his visit to Delhi, Vladimir Putin emphasized Russia’s readiness to ensure stable fuel supplies to India, which may create additional tension in relations with the Donald Trump administration.

The international investigation of crimes committed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues regardless of political circumstances, and even potential negotiations will not serve as a reason to halt or close ongoing cases.
