Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 3

Over the past day, December 3, 170 combat clashes were recorded on the frontline. Russian troops were most active in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, yesterday the enemy carried out three missile strikes and 62 airstrikes, used three missiles, and dropped 177 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they conducted 4,301 attacks, including 121 with multiple launch rocket systems, and employed 5,251 kamikaze drones.
Over the past day, the missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces destroyed one enemy artillery piece.
Situation on the fronts
In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, four combat clashes occurred yesterday. The enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropping three guided bombs, and conducted 203 attacks, including one with a multiple launch rocket system.
In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian defenders’ positions 17 times near Starytsia, Vovchansk, Synelnykove, Ambarnе, Prylipka and toward Kolodiazne and Kutkivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, two combat clashes occurred yesterday. Ukrainian defenders stopped enemy assault actions near Pishchane and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 10 times, attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses in the areas of Nadiia, Derylove, Hrekivka, Novoiheorivka, Zarichne, Myrne, Torske, and toward Stavky.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 10 enemy assaults near Yampil, Dronivka, Serebrianka, and Siversk.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions three times near Chasiv Yar.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy launched 29 attacks near Kostyantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyno, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Kleban-Byk, Rusyn Yar, and in the directions of Novopavlivka, Stepanivka, and Torske.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 45 enemy assault actions near Novе Shakhove, Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Novоekonomichne, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novopavlivka, Filiia, and toward Sofiivka, Bilytske, and Hryshyne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out 14 attacks near Yalta, Sosnivka, Verbove, Oleksandrohrad, Rybne, Krasnohirske, Vyshneve, and Pryvilne.
In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 enemy attempts to advance near Zatyshshia and Huliaipole and toward Pryluky, Dobropillia, and Varvarivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions yesterday.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian units repelled three enemy attacks near the Antonivsky Bridge.
No signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
Russian losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost an estimated 1,177,370 military personnel.
Russian losses for the past day alone amounted to 1,140 personnel.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed three tanks, three armored combat vehicles, 29 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, 245 drones, and 125 units of enemy motor equipment.
