By the evening of 1 December, the situation on the frontline remained dynamic: Russian forces continued to rely heavily on aviation, artillery, and drones, while Ukrainian units held defensive positions along key sectors, according to a statement from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to operational data, as of December 1, there were 202 combat engagements. Russian forces used missiles and aviation, launching one missile strike and carrying out 41 air attacks involving 129 guided bombs. An additional 2,364 kamikaze drone strikes and 2,621 artillery attacks were recorded.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces did not conduct offensive actions.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian units repelled two attacks toward the Antonivskyi Bridge.

Russian military structures again circulated claims of "advances." However, statements made by the Chief of the General Staff, Valerii Gerasimov, are not supported by Ukrainian sources, which note that such reports diverge from the actual situation at the frontline.

On 30 November, Russian leader Vladimir Putin was briefed by his commanders, who claimed that Russian forces had established control over Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region.
