Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 28

During the past day, November 27, a total of 247 combat engagements were recorded along the front. Russian forces were most active in two sectors — the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, the enemy carried out one missile strike using one missile, 53 airstrikes, and dropped 133 guided aerial bombs on positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas. In addition, Russian forces conducted 3,470 attacks, including 130 using multiple-launch rocket systems, and deployed 2,814 kamikaze drones.
Areas affected by airstrikes included, in particular, the vicinities of Ternuvate, Hulyaipole, and Hryhorivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as Prydniprovske in the Kherson region.
Over the past day, missile and artillery units of the Defense Forces struck one concentration area of enemy personnel.
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, eight combat engagements took place during the past day. The enemy conducted five airstrikes, using 11 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 140 attacks, one of which involved a multiple-launch rocket system.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy made six attempts to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian forces near Vovchansk, Ambarnе, and Dvorichanske.
In the Kupiansk direction, six enemy attacks occurred yesterday. Ukrainian defenders repelled the enemy’s assault operations near the settlements of Petropavlivka, Mala Shapkivka, Pishchane, and Novoplatonivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy launched 29 attacks, attempting to breach Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Hrekivka, Karpivka, Novoyehorivka, Serednie, Novoselivka, Shandryholove, Torske, and toward Novyi Myr, Hlushchenkove, Druzhelyubivka, Olhivka, Stavky, Drobysheve, and Oleksandrivka.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian forces stopped 13 enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Yampil, Dronivka, Serebrianka, Vyimka, Fedorivka, and toward Zakytne.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks near Chasiv Yar and toward Bondarne.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy conducted 31 attacks toward Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, and Stepanivka, as well as in the areas of Pleshchiivka and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces halted 59 enemy assault actions in the areas of Shakhove, Nove Shakhove, Zatyshok, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novoekonomichne, Pishchane, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, Dachne, and toward Hryshyne and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out 29 attacks during the past day near Yalta, Andriivka-Klevtsove, Verbove, Pryvilne, Rybne, Zelenyi Hai, Piddubne, Vorone, Stepove, Sichneve, Sosnivka, Krasnohirske, and toward Oleksiivka.
In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 20 enemy attacks near Zatyshshia, Solodke, and Chervone, as well as toward Dobropillia, Pryluky, Varvarivka, and Hulyaipole.
In the Orikhiv direction, 10 enemy attacks were repelled toward Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Stepnohirske, and Prymorske, and in the vicinity of Kamianske and Stepove.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the Defense Forces repelled one enemy attack toward the Antonivskyi Bridge.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, there were no signs of enemy offensive groupings being formed.
Russian losses
Ukrainian defenders continue to inflict significant losses on Russian forces in personnel and equipment, systematically degrading the offensive capabilities of the occupiers in rear areas.
Over the past day, enemy losses reached 1,100 personnel.
In addition, Ukrainian units destroyed seven tanks, 15 armored combat vehicles, 21 artillery systems, 63 drones, and 48 units of enemy automotive equipment.
