Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 6

As of 10:00 PM Kyiv time on October 6, a total of 164 combat engagements were recorded along the front line throughout the day. The Pokrovsk direction once again remained the hottest sector, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian strikes
On Thursday, November 6, Russian forces carried out one missile strike and 37 airstrikes, launching six missiles and dropping 95 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 2,693 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,839 strikes on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
Frontline updates
In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian forces repelled eight Russian assaults, while two engagements are still ongoing. The Russian forces also launched four airstrikes, dropping ten guided bombs, and carried out 160 strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including 14 using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, the Russian forces attempted 12 assaults near Vovchansk, Kamyanka, and toward Dvorichanske.
In the Kupiansk direction, the aggressor conducted offensive actions toward Petropavlivka, Pishchane, and Hlushkivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 attacks.
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops attacked positions of the Defense Forces eight times near Novoiehorivka, Borivska Andriivka, Hrekivka, Zarichne, Novoselivka, and toward Korovyi Yar. Fighting continues in two locations.
Ukrainian defenders repelled thirteen Russian assaults in the Sloviansk direction, where the invaders tried to advance near Yampil, Dronivka, Siversk, Serebrianka, and Fedorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled two Russian attacks near Novomarkove and Viroliubivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces launched 14 assaults near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian forces attempted to advance 55 times since the beginning of the day, attacking near Chervonyi Lyman, Fedorivka, Myrnohrad, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Dorozhne, Novopavlivka, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and Filiia. Fighting continues in several locations.
"Preliminary data indicate that 97 Russian troops were neutralized in this direction today, including 60 irreversibly. Ukrainian forces also downed 14 UAVs and destroyed one vehicle and five units of specialized equipment. One artillery system, another piece of special equipment, one UAV control post, and 13 personnel shelters were significantly damaged," the report said.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian troops made ten attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near Sichneve, Vorone, Sosnivka, Solodke, Pryvilne, Pavlivka, Verbove, and Pershotravneve. Fighting is still ongoing in two areas. Vidradne and Orestopil came under airstrikes.
In the Huliaipole direction, five combat engagements were recorded near Novomykolayivka and toward Novoie. Dobropillia and Ternuvate were hit by airstrikes.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces conducted no offensive actions.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one assault toward the Antonivskyi bridge area. Olhivka came under an enemy airstrike.
In other directions, the situation remained unchanged.
Russian losses
According to previous reports, from November 5 to 6, Russian forces lost another 1,170 personnel in battles against Ukraine. Ukrainian troops also destroyed 15 artillery systems, 84 vehicles, and 172 operational-tactical drones.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian military losses have exceeded 1.1 million personnel.
