Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 2

As of 10:00 PM Kyiv time on November 2, there were 168 combat clashes along the front during the day. The Pokrovsk direction remained the most active, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
Russian shelling
Today, Russian forces carried out 36 airstrikes, dropping 63 guided bombs. They also deployed 3,759 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,822 strikes on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
Frontline situation
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack. Since the start of the day, the enemy launched six airstrikes, dropped 12 guided bombs, and carried out 165 shellings, including nine from multiple-launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian forces stopped 12 enemy attacks near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Tykhe, Odradne, and toward Kolodiazne and Dvorichanske. The settlement of Tsyrkuny came under an airstrike.
In the Kupiansk direction, Defense Forces repelled 12 enemy attacks near Stepova Novoselivka, Borivska Andriivka, and toward Petropavlivka, Kurylivka, and Pishchane, with four clashes still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions seven times near Hrekivka, Kolodiazi, Zarichne, and toward Korovyi Yar. Fighting continues in some locations.
In the Sloviansk direction, Defense Forces repelled eight enemy attacks near Serebrianka, Dronivka, Fedorivka, and toward Siversk.
In the Kramatorsk direction, two clashes were recorded as the enemy attempted to advance near Chasiv Yar and toward Stupochky.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 16 times, focusing on Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian units attempted 62 times to break through Ukrainian defenses near Nikanorivka, Mayak, Myrnohrad, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Razine, Mykolaivka, Novoekonomichne, Pokrovsk, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, Horikhove, Dachne, and Filiia.
"Today, Ukrainian soldiers neutralized 129 enemy personnel, 95 of them permanently. They destroyed seven drones, four vehicles, and two communication antennas. A combat armored vehicle, two artillery systems, and a vehicle were damaged. In addition, an enemy UAV control post and ten infantry shelters were hit," the General Staff said.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy launched 29 attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Sichneve, Novoselivka, Vorone, Sosnivka, Verbove, Oleksiivka, Rybne, Yehorivka, and Krasnohirske, with one battle still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, two clashes were recorded near Okhotnyche. Solodke and Zaliznychne came under airstrikes.
In the Orikhiv direction, no enemy offensive actions were recorded.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian units repelled one enemy attempt to advance near the Antonivskyi Bridge. Russian aviation struck Sadove.
In other directions, the situation remained largely unchanged.
Russian losses in the war against Ukraine
During the previous day, from November 1 to 2, Russia lost another 940 soldiers on the battlefield. Ukrainian forces also destroyed 25 artillery systems, 121 vehicles, and 348 drones.
Since the start of the full-scale war, Russian military losses have exceeded 1.1 million personnel.
