Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of Оctober 30

Ukrainian forces continue to hold their positions and inflict heavy losses on Russian troops along the entire front line. Over 100 combat engagements were recorded on October 30, according to the General Staff’s update.
Since the start of the day, 114 combat engagements have been recorded. Ukrainian forces continue to successfully repel Russian attempts to advance into Ukrainian territory, inflicting fire damage on enemy positions.
Russian forces carried out two missile strikes and 59 airstrikes, using 53 missiles and 105 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they launched 4,208 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,003 artillery strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements.
Northern and Eastern directions
In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian troops repelled two assaults and withstood ten airstrikes, during which Russian aircraft dropped 22 bombs. A total of 178 attacks were recorded, including eight from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces attempted two assaults near Fiholivka and Kolodiazne.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven attacks near Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane, and Petropavlivka, while two more engagements are ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, nine Russian attacks were recorded near Shandryholove, Novovodianе, Zarichne, and Korovyi Yar.
Central and Southern sectors
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled eight assaults near Yampil, Serebrianka, Vyimka, Pereizne, and Zvanivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces carried out an attack toward Stupochky, which ended unsuccessfully.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces attempted 13 breakthroughs near Shcherbynivka, Petrivka, Yablunivka, and Rusyn Yar, all of which were repelled.
The situation remains particularly tense in the Pokrovsk direction, where 40 breakthrough attempts were recorded during the day. Fighting continues near Shakhove, Novotoretske, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, and nearby settlements. Preliminary reports indicate 60 Russian soldiers were eliminated, including 33 irrecoverable losses. Ukrainian forces also destroyed 21 drones, one armored vehicle, and damaged four artillery systems.
Southern directions
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces attacked 13 times near Zelenyi Hai, Verbove, Stepove, and Novovasylivske, but all attempts were unsuccessful.
In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack each, while in the Prydniprovskyi direction, they thwarted three Russian attempts to approach Ukrainian positions.
Meanwhile, the US division of Rheinmetall has signed a $31 million contract to accelerate the repair and restoration of Bradley infantry fighting vehicles used by both US and Ukrainian forces.
Ukrainian troops also continue to hold several positions on Russian territory, with the situation in these areas remaining stable and under control.
